The frame is sturdy and lighter

It balances well on most fly rods, is low-maintenance (give it a good rinse after fishing, but that's about it), and holds up well to abuse

Also the Grips X nubs actually feels good on the fingers and the nubs gives it just the right amount of girth to feel comfortable for me
